The Dells Barn Music & Events near perfect acoustics have received rave reviews from artists, technicians, and audience members since opening in 1957. Combined with comfortable amenities, world-class entertainment, and long history of performers, it's no wonder that it has been recognized as one of Baraboo's best performance barns numerous times.

 

In 2024, The Dells Barn's audience chamber received a complete refurbishment, its over 300 seats were reconfigured to accommodate more patrons with disabilities, and our entertainment space expanded.

The Dells Barn has theatre-style seating.  In fact, our seats originated from the Al. Ringling Theatre. Almost every patron prizes a center seat. There are no support columns, no obstructed views. Seating is sloped and staggered. For safety and comfort, the aisle space is wider than traditional layouts; entry and exit can be made while patrons remain seated. There are double doors as well as the ability to open our side garage door leading out from the audience chamber. With this configuration, a full house can be cleared in a matter of minutes.

For decades, our barn has echoed with the melodies of legendary artists such as Bill Monroe, Faron Young, Kittie Wells, Suzy Bogguss, Porter Wagoner, Jim & Jesse, Osborne Brothers, John Hartford, and Riders in the Sky (and so many more) when it was home to the Wisconsin Opry. Let’s not forget local legend, Virgil Dickinson. It's a place where music history has been made. The Dells Barn is full of history.  If our walls could talk, it would speak of many legends - dreamers - and greats.
